That’s quite natural but when we become obsessed with these problems then it can easily turn into anxiety and panic.

Back to worrying so much! Did you know there’s a great way to combat these feelings?
Just ask yourself, how realistic these worries are?
As an example, you’ve got a big presentation coming up at work. You can feel the butterflies building and last night was all about the worry.
Now think, is this scenario really worth worrying too much about?
You can approach this situation two ways in your mind.
- I’m going to be really terrible with this presentation.
- Ok, I’m nervous but I’m prepared and I will do my best. Some of it will be good, other bits could do with improving. But, I will give it my best shot.
The first way is something that we are all guilty of, we just focus on the negative.
But when you accept the situation with the second approach, do you know what happens?
The worry is still there but now it’s healthier. You can manage it and it’s less likely to lead to anxiety.
The important thing about this technique is to get into a pattern of rethinking your fears and worries.
By doing this you can train your brain to become more rational with anxious thoughts.
Before you know it, things that would have been big worries in the past and are now just routine thoughts.
