So what are these 4 easy ways to stop anxiety?

Well, they’re all included in a routine that you can follow to say goodbye to feeling anxious, whenever it happens.

Routine makes us feel good and can be a great way to reduce anxiety, panic attacks and anything that make you feel worried. 

And speaking of routine!

Another GREAT way to stop Anxiety is by writing your worries down in a Journal! We’ve created a FREE one for you (with TIPS!) that you can download and printout.

Back to this sequence!

If you feel anxious and you’re thinking that you may experience a panic attack, use this sequence to feel calm again.

  1. Acknowledge the symptoms.
  2. Ground yourself by planting your feet or holding onto something.
  3. Put yourself in the present, panic attacks typically stem from anxiety about an event that’s already happened or one that might happen.
  4. Now perform one or more of the following:
  • Implement a breathing exercise
  • Drink a cool glass of water
  • Close your eyes and count to 10
  • Name 5 things near you that are the color blue!

If this doesn’t help straight away, then repeat the steps again.

What is meant by ‘putting yourself in the present’?

One of the most effective ways to manage your anxiety is to focus on the present.

Focus on the present!

Anxiety comes from worrying about what might happen next (or something that has already happened in the past). 

When you focus on the moment it changes your mindset and helps you recognize exactly what you can accomplish. 

If you don’t know how to be present, then meditation is a great place to get started.
